ABOUT

Alex Solis II

Horse racing has been an integral part of Alex’s life from early childhood. He grew up in a racing family - his grandfather, Bert Sonnier, trained Nodouble and Meadowlake. As a child, Alex spent summer at his barn at Arlington Park. His father, Alex Solis, was a jockey for 30 years and rode over five thousand winners. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014 in a career that included victories in the Preakness, Dubai World Cup and Breeders’ Cup races.

Alex’s first job in the industry was working for trainer Mel Stute when he was 12. Growing up, he added time with Taylor Made Farm under John Hall and trainers Bruce Headley and Richard Mandella. He graduated with a BA in Finance and a minor in Pre-Vet from Cal Poly Pomona.

In 2010, The Thoroughbred Times named Alex one of "The Forty under Forty in the Thoroughbred Industry." He has been the subject of features on TVG, HRTV, LA Times, and Bloodhorse.

Alex was elected to the Breeders’ Cup Board of Directors in 2018 and was appointed Director of Bloodstock at Gainesway Farm in 2020. He lives in Kentucky with his wife, Brittany, and three children.

Jason Litt

Like many, Jason was lured into the horse business by his father Howard Litt, an avid owner, breeder and race fan of over fifty years.  He received a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Human Biodynamics and his M.S. from Wake Forest University in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation before embarking on his career in the horse business.

Jason moved to Kentucky in 2000 and worked at Taylor Made Farm for a year, working with mares, yearlings, foals and at major auctions.  He spent the next two years with the veterinary practice of Dr. Cheney, Dr. Northrop and Dr. Landry in Kentucky, New York and Florida and was around the top trainers and horses in the East Coast.  He then spent seven years with Three Chimneys Farm, performing all duties of a bloodstock agent including stallion syndication, portfolio management and client recruitment. In 2009, he and Alex began making purchases together, growing into Solis/Litt Bloodstock.

Madison grew up in Austin, Texas and fell in love with racing when Smarty Jones was making his bid for the Triple Crown. She moved to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky in 2012. During college, she spent time at Three Chimneys Farm, Shawhan Place and Fasig-Tipton. She graduated from UK with a B.A. in Marketing and a B.S. in Equine Science and Management.

Upon completing university Madison was accepted to the Godolphin Flying Start program, a two-year international training and management course for the Thoroughbred industry.
